The art of whole foods and the heart of the cook...

Breaking bread is a symbol that the earth and sun nourished the grain,
that tender hands came to pick that grain,
that the craftsman took that grain and milled it into flour,
that the clever artist took that flour into creation and baked bread.

Every season gives a reason to plant, to pick, to serve, to nourish, to love, and to have faith.
The earth’s soil gives me my own life- as a seed, as a sprout, as a flower, as a fruit of my potential

to grow, to bloom, to live, to die, and go back to the soil from which I came.
I honor the earth and I honor body through a devotion to food. The art of farming, cooking, eating is a practice that becomes more and more inherently beautiful the more I am aware of where my food comes from and how I am choosing to nourish myself and my loved ones with whatever efforts I make each day in the kitchen.
